Save Time Fixing Form Templates in Dubsado
Today's quick Dubsado* tip is about your form templates.
Dubsado forms are:
Contracts
Sub-Agreements
Questionnaires
Proposals
Lead Captures
Each type of form has its own column in Dubsado’s Forms tab. See below:
One common mistake in Dubsado* setup is that users sometimes create the wrong form.
It's an easy mistake to make as a new user because Dubsado terminology takes a little getting used to.
Are you creating the right types of forms? Learn more about Dubsado's form terminology here.
Let's say you've already created a questionnaire, but realize you should have created a proposal. Or perhaps you created a questionnaire, but realize you actually needed a lead capture.
Dubsado's got your back! They know you've spent a lot of time crafting beautiful forms and you need to get back to work. You don't have time to start over.
There's an easy fix to your Dubsado forms and it's time the world knows about it.

The only thing you need to be aware of when changing form types is that you might lose some of the functionality.
For example, a contract form has signature fields. A questionnaire does not. If you turn a contract into a questionnaire, all the text and formatting will remain the same, but the signature fields will disappear.
Likewise, if you have code embedded in a questionnaire, but you turn it into a contract, the code won't "travel" with it. Learn more about embedding code here.
And while we're talking about saving time in the Forms tab, here's another pro time-saving tip: Click the icon with two squares to duplicate a form:
This is perfect for forms that are "same, same, but different." If you need two forms to have mostly the same content, duplicate one form and edit the copy to your liking.
Now you’ve saved even more time.
Easy as!
This tip has saved me so much time and I hope it will for you, too.
